This isn't a judgement on the games. The draw is random and every nomination had the same chance. If your game was dropped, your next nomination goes into the draw with better odds, and that keeps improving until you make a ballot.
Dropped nominations don't carry over, so you can nominate the same game again next month. Games that make the ballot and lose are a different matter, they sit out a year.
